SMS – Integrated Fast Eigenvalue Solver is used for large scale normal modes and frequency response analysis problems GENESIS incorporates OmniQuest's fast eigenvalue solver, SMS. The SMS solver is also available as an addition to other codes such as MSC/ Nastran, which is fully integrated into GENESIS, providing modal solve times up to 10 times faster than conventional Lanczos solutions.
