OED2018 Speaker Spotlight – Satoshi Ishiguro
Optimising the Future of Mobility
The challenges of personal mobility, from concept to production, offer a series of complex issues to solve. The affordability aspect is important, as they need to be accessible to people from all walks of life. They are required to be lightweight and efficient, making economical use of materials that are beneficial to society while delivering the desired level of high performance.
Satoshi Ishiguro and HVD aim to deliver a new generation of machines, designed to change Japanese transportation in a way that is good for the environment, beneficial to society through more efficient use of urban space and ultimately offering freedom for all. GRM were consulted to provide optimisation methods to enhance important components and the overall performance of the vehicles.
“Why do we work with GRM? We need CAE calculation solutions for a better design output, because we have the courage and the creativity to design these things, and GRM has the CAE technology. The future of design doesn’t come from intuition or some big effort, but comes from high technologies and a good vision of the future.”
