Our Engineering Director, Oliver Tomlin, has worked with orthopaedic consultants, a professor of anaesthesia and biodynamics research engineers for almost 8 years, studying the effect of head impacts on brain injury. It remains a personal interest, but something that keeps him interested in his spare time with collaborative technical papers released on the subject. Recently the research committee elected to change their name to the International Board for Research into Aircraft Cabin Events (IBRACE) to reflect their expanded remit and areas of study. Long may the spare time be available to offer improvement in such an important field as brain injury.
