GRM’s Japan office were invited over to China to showcase our consulting and software services by Liusikeji, CATARC (China Automotive Technology and Research Centre) and their automotive subsidiary AERI .
CATARC is considered ‘the best think-tank for the Chinese automotive industry’, focusing on innovative research in automotive engineering, auto safety, energy saving and environmental technological research. Their aim is to ‘promote the healthy and sustainable development of the automotive industry in China and strive to build CATARC into a more innovative, first-class science and technology corporate group with comprehensive service capabilities and a strong influence in the world.’
GRM were given a tour of the amazing facilities in Tianjin along with the exciting projects they are involved in on their mission to further the technology of the automotive industry.
The talks were extremely positive, as GRM’s Adam Hargreaves states, “the main outcome is that we will be continuing discussions and actively seeking opportunities to work together in the future”.
On their second day, the GRM staff found the time to do some sight-seeing , including Tiananmen – the forbidden city, which they found to be ‘awe inspiring’. It was extremely cold, with temperatures as low as 2oC, with a wind-chill factor that brought it down to -6oC.
Some of the staff took the opportunity to sample the local cuisine as well as the Chinese McDonalds, KFC and Starbucks!
GRM Japan would like to thank both Liusikeji and CATARC for their hospitality, and the opportunity to showcase GRM in their exciting plans in China and throughout the world.
